New Orleans First Day - Night Shots
PHOTOS TAKEN 03-17-24.
When my husband said I could tag along on his work trip to New Orleans, I was filled with excitement and immediately started planning where I could take photos. I was in New Orleans before Katrina when I was 20. I was touring with my band, and we were able to walk up and down bourbon street with some strippers who came to our show and let us crash at their place for the night. Needless to say, I didn’t get the full NOLA experience back then. I made it a point to make sure we really got to soak up the city and everything we could experience. I tried to capture the creepy vibes and all the colorful buildings and graffiti. All of the amazing architecture, food, culture, etc.
Day 1 (Night Shots) - The streets were being closed off and multiple parades were going on through the night. I joke and say that while NYC is the city that never sleeps, it seems like New Orleans comes the most out at night and sleeps in during the day. The energy was amazing and everyone was just having a good time. Green beads were being thrown and caught, everyone had a drink, and everyone was in the street having a blast. I caught as much as I could considering the lighting and such.
